Healthwatch Derbyshire (HWD) has a number of vacancies for volunteer Enter and View Authorised Representatives.
Healthwatch Derbyshire is an independent voice for the people of Derbyshire. We are here to listen to the experiences of Derbyshire residents when using health and social care services, and we use these experiences to influence how local services are provided.
One of the ways in which we listen to the experiences of patients, service users and members of the public, is through our Enter and View statutory function. Enter and View is seeing and hearing for ourselves how services are being run and allows HWD to collect the views of service users at the point of service delivery. This might involve talking to staff, service users and visitors or observing service delivery. Enter and View visits are conducted using trained volunteers, who we call Authorised Representatives of HWD. Following on from the visit, a report based upon the evidence gathered is produced by the Authorised Representatives, which is published and distributed with suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
