Last year I spent two months trying to get an appointment. In the end I complained to the Care Co Ordinator and got one. Last December 4th (2018) I received a letter asking me to make an appointment within the next three weeks. It is now April 5th 2019 and I still haven’t been able to get an appointment! There have been numerous complaints put on this practices website none of which has been responded too. Also a PPG Group does exist because that is part of their contract with NHS England, I understand, but they only pay lip service to it and it has no standing whatsoever This Practice is not fit for purpose and should be put into special measures.

Clay Cross Medical Centre responded:

Dear Patient, Please accept our apologies for the experience you have had at our surgery. The practice is working hard to ensure that appointments meet the needs of our patients and are making changes to the way our appointments system is set up to enable better access. We do have an active PPG that aim to meet every 3-4 months. The practice PPG are a supportive group of patient representatives who encourage and enable the practice by providing insight from a patients perspective. Please feel free to contact the Practice Manager if your wish to discuss your concerns further.
