The four Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) are open seven days a week, between 8am and 8pm across Derbyshire.

Urgent treatment centres are similar to walk-in centres. They can be accessed if you have a problem that is not life-threatening by visiting the centre or by calling 111. 111 will ask you a series of questions and provide you with a GP to speak to, dentist or if you need a face-to-face appointment, you may be directed to your nearest urgent treatment centre where they will make you an appointment.

Urgent treatment centres can help with a variety of issues that need urgent treatment yet are not life-threatening.

You may want to visit your local UTC if you have any:

  • strains or sprains
  • eye problems
  • suspected broken limbs
  • abdominal pain
  • minor head injuries
  • cuts that need stitches.

They also can perform diagnostic tests.
