Recent data from NHS Dentists in Derbyshire

We understand that finding a NHS dentist can be difficult at the moment. When people began telling us they were struggling to find a dentist, we started to take a look at dental practices to see which areas of Derbyshire were most affected.

Our most recent research took place in September 2022 and gives an overview of dental practices accepting new regular patients, broken down into areas of Derbyshire. This data was collected from the NHS Find a Dentist website. Where there was no information on the Find a Dentist website, our team made calls to practices to understand the dental practices current position in terms of accepting new patients.

This data is accurate at the time of publishing and provides an overview of the dentistry services available in each ‘place’ in Derbyshire. Please note that we are unable to give any recommendations on which practices are accepting new NHS regular patients. We advise you to contact dentist practices directly to discuss your circumstances and to find out if they are taking on new NHS regular patients. We have also published some advice on how to access dental treatment which can be found here.

We continue to monitor the access to NHS dentistry in Derbyshire and we are sharing our findings with dental commissioners, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Local Dental Network and Derbyshire Oral Health Steering Group to influence positive change.
