Hartington and Radbourne Report
Over the past few years our engagement team have been visiting the Radbourne Unit in Derby, and the Hartington Unit in Chesterfield. These are both mental health inpatient units. The role of the units is to provide a supportive and safe space that helps patients to recover and prepare to their lives outside the unit.
The aims of our visits were to find out people’s thoughts, and to recommend any improvements to help in people’s mental health recovery.
We were also aware of plans to build new mental health inpatient hospitals in Derbyshire. By gathering feedback we saw an opportunity for patients’ experiences of the current units to be used in the development of the new buildings. Take a look at the report to find out what people were telling us, and what improvements were made as a result of your feedback.
