Improving Access to Psychological Therapies

This report presents the feelings and experiences of people from across Derbyshire County and Derby City about Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services.

Derbyshire CCG Mental health Commissioning Team provided the below response and update document to the IAPT report …

Firstly we would like to say a big thank you to those of you who took the time to provide us with your views about how IAPT Talking Therapies should be delivered in the future. We asked the public, patients, a wide range of stakeholders, primary care, IAPT staff and IAPT providers to share their experience and we had lots of responses.

Below is a summary of the kinds of themes that emerged from the engagement completed to date. Whilst there were some common themes, on occasion people’s views were different about how we should respond.

We have considered all that we have learnt from the engagement and have explained below what action we have taken to the themes you identified. We are sharing this with you so you can see what we have done.

Once again, thank you for your participation.
